This Magical Unicorn Popsicle is a simple and fun project, ideal for beginners.
It is made as one main piece and includes raspberry sauce, ears, a horn, roses, and a stick.
With 12 years of experience, I designed this project to be both creative and easy to follow.
You can customize it with your favorite colors and add glitter yarn for extra sparkle.

Materials
- Light fingering weight yarn: Lilac, Hot Pink, Beige, Pink, Mint, Yellow
- US B/1 (2.25 mm) crochet hook
- Tapestry needle
- Polyester stuffing
- Black embroidery floss

Popsicle
- Using Lilac yarn, ch 12.
- Rnd 1: Starting in the second ch from the hook, 10 sc, 3 sc in the next st, turn and work on the opposite side, 9 sc, 1 inc (24 sc).
- Rnd 2: 1 inc, 9 sc, [1 inc] 3 times, 9 sc, [1 inc] 2 times (30 sc).
- Rnd 3: 1 inc, 11 sc, [1 inc] 4 times, 11 sc, [1 inc] 3 times (38 sc).
- Rnd 4-29: 38 sc for 26 rounds.
- Rnd 30: In back loops only, [1 dec] 3 times, 11 sc, [1 dec] 4 times, 11 sc, 1 dec (30 sc).
- Rnd 31: [3 sc, 1 dec] 6 times (24 sc).
- Rnd 32: [2 sc, 1 dec] 6 times (18 sc).
- Begin stuffing.
- Rnd 33: [1 sc, 1 dec] 6 times (12 sc).
- Rnd 34: [1 dec] 6 times (6 sc).
- Sew the hole closed and fasten off.
Raspberry Sauce
- Using Hot Pink yarn, ch 12.
- Rnd 1: Starting in the second ch from the hook, 10 sc, 3 sc in the next st, turn and work on the opposite side, 9 sc, 1 inc (24 sc).
- Rnd 2: 1 inc, 9 sc, [1 inc] 3 times, 9 sc, [1 inc] 2 times (30 sc).
- Rnd 3: 1 inc, 11 sc, [1 inc] 4 times, 11 sc, [1 inc] 3 times (38 sc).
- Rnd 4-11: 38 sc for 8 rounds.
Dripping Sauce
- 1 sl in the next st.
- *Ch 6, starting in the second ch from the hook, 5 dc, skip 1 st, 3 sl in the next st.
- Ch 5, starting in the second ch from the hook, 4 hdc, skip 1 st, 3 sl, 4 hdc in the next st.
- Repeat once more.*
- 1 sl in the last st.
Pin and sew the sauce on top of the Popsicle.
Ears (Make 2)
- Using Lilac yarn, create a magic ring.
- Rnd 1: 6 sc into the magic ring (6 sc).
- Rnd 2: 6 sc (6 sc).
- Rnd 3: [1 inc] 6 times (12 sc).
- Rnd 4-6: 12 sc for 3 rounds.
- Rnd 7: [1 sc, 1 dec] 4 times (8 sc).
- Finish with 1 sl.
Press flat, pin to the Popsicle, and sew on.

Horn
- Using Beige yarn, create a magic ring.
- Rnd 1: 6 sc into the magic ring (6 sc).
- Rnd 2: 6 sc (6 sc).
- Rnd 3: [1 sc, 1 inc] 3 times (9 sc).
- Rnd 4-7: 9 sc for 4 rounds.
- Finish with 1 sl.
Stuff lightly, pin to the Popsicle, and sew on.
Roses (Make 3)
- Using Pink, Mint, and Yellow yarns, ch 8.
- Row 1: Starting in the second ch, 2 sc in each st (14 sc).
- Row 2: 2 sc in each st (28 sc).
Roll each piece into a rose and sew to secure. Pin roses to the Popsicle and sew on.
Cheeks (Make 2)
- Using Pink yarn, create a magic ring.
- Rnd 1: 6 sc into the magic ring (6 sc).
- Finish with 1 sl.
Pin to the Popsicle and sew on.
Tail
- Using Pink, Mint, and Yellow yarns, attach yarn to the back of the Popsicle.
- Ch 9, 2 sc in the second ch and each remaining ch (16 sc).
- Sl into the starting st, cut yarn, and weave ends.
Repeat for all colors to make three strands.
Stick
- Using Beige yarn, create a magic ring.
- Rnd 1: 6 sc into the magic ring (6 sc).
- Rnd 2-12: 6 sc for 11 rounds.
- Finish with 1 sl.
Stuff lightly, pin to the Popsicle, and sew on.
Finishing Touches
Embroider sleepy eyes and a small mouth using black embroidery floss to give the piece a charming expression.
For an extra touch of magic, consider adding embellishments like glitter yarn to make the design truly stand out.
